Thanks to active noise cancellation, you can concentrate fully on your music, even in noisy environments: The microphones built into the headphones detect disturbing ambient noise and then generate a corresponding counter signal that makes the noise inaudible to your ears. Open headphones have perforated or slotted ear cups.
